Tick. Tick. Tick. No these aren’t the eternal seconds that we wait for more Marvel content after No Way Home, they are the opening sounds of the new Moon Knight trailer, played at halftime during the NFL playoff game between the Cardinals and the Rams. For over a month, Marvel fans have been waiting for the promise of marvel content, and finally, it looks like Feige and co are ready to commit to a date – March 30th, 2022.

“I have a sleeping disorder. I can’t tell the difference between my waking life and dreams.” Oscar Isaac’s first words set against a landscape of ominous tones and ticking. After a Karen-looking woman calls Steven useless, we start to really grasp the darkness the show is playing with.

We see Steven’s delusion again as he is terrified of a wolf-like being chasing him from down a dark hallway, only for it to be revealed that the being was an innocent old lady. Shortly after, we see our first shots of Ethan Hawke, who looks brilliant and terrifying as Arthur Harrow, the cult leader who will play a prominent role in the series. After some more intense action, we arrive at the coolest part of the trailer: the ‘suit up’. Moon Knight springs to life in the badass white suit is sure to be a fan favorite going forward.

One of the most exciting thematic qualities that the show gives us is the backdrop of modern and ancient Egyptian symbolism and locale. We see the pyramids, the museums, and the suit, which looks like mummified batman attire. The show looks mind-bending, it appears that Steven will not be the only person questioning reality, as the audience often will have no idea whether what they are watching is a dream or reality. This inception-level insanity will make the marvel fandom drool with anticipation.

We will be counting down the seconds for the release of this show, which is sure to send the audience into a wild new world within the MCU. Tick. Tick. Tick.
