After an extremely tedious wait since the first teaser trailer released on August 23rd, fans have been eagerly awaiting a second trailer. MCU Geeks where to first to the scene to confirm that we were in fact going to receive the trailer on Tuesday the 16th of November in 2 days time.
Although we are limited to what we can say, this event will rock the entire world. Rumours from multiple sources are speculating that Tom Holland, Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield will appear on stage after the 3 minute trailer is show to a very lucky selection of fans in LA at 5:00PM.
We will be getting the trailer after the event is over, so for the rest of the world who cannot attend, we are safe from watching an iPhone 4 recorded version on Twitter.
With so many leaks being confirmed to be true this close to the film, Sony have one last chance to make a huge marketing push.
If you ask me, Sony need to release a trailer and give us exactly what the fans need to see. Give us a trailer with a scene of Tom, Tobey and Andrew showing up. Give us a scene where we see Matt Murdock becoming Peter's lawyer. Give the fans what they want to see.
Director Jon Watts said:
"Rumors are fun, because many of them are true, and many of them are not true," the executive said. "The danger is when you get into the expectations game of wanting people to be excited about the movie they get, and not disappointed about a movie they don't get."
If Sony go ahead with this idea, not only will it stop anymore leaks getting out and ruining more of the film, it'll make it one of the most anticipated superhero movies of all time. Not only will the original Spider-Man fans from 2002-2007 have confirmation of their beloved Tobey Maguire, but the huge Daredevil/Netflix Marvel have gathered over 3 seasons of the Devil Of Hells Kitchen.
Either way, whatever happens this Tuesday over in Los Angeles, it will change the course of the MCU as we know it. Keep your notifications on all our social media pages to know as soon as an announcement is made.
Sony released this announcement only yesterday (Saturday 13th). Partnered with Regal Sherman Oaks cinema, they will be offering fans an opportunity to preview the 2nd Spider-Man No Way Home trailer before the rest of the world.
Tickets aren't being given out to the public, and the only way to be in for a chance to obtain will be to submit your details via other LA based News Outlets. Most outlets have been given only 40 tickets total, but will be given out in pairs. Fans are required to send in their names and addresses and placed into a sweepstakes, where Sony will pick out at random the lucky winners and contact them regarding their success.
